The Monett R-1 School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a prek 3 year old class paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will be located at Monett Early Childhood Center.  This position will require flexibility to assist or lead classroom needs on a daily basis.  Qualified candidates will have the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to different assignments, grade levels, and needs throughout the school day. Knowledge of early childhood development will be essential for this position.

Essential Functions:

• Implement lesson plans and instruction as needed for daily building needs.
• Effective classroom management skills to encourage student engagement.
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of various students and subjects.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including lunch, recess, and transitions.
• Regular and consistent attendance is essential. 
• Daily check in with the front office to provide individual and/or classroom supervision.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned.
• Substitute certification is required.
