Monett R-1 School District  is accepting applications for a Health Occupation/CNA Instructor at the Scott Regional Technology Center for the 2026-2027 school year.  This position is a full time teaching position and will require the candidate to obtain a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching certificate in Health Service Aid as well as a CNA Instructor certificate from the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Qualifications:

•  Registered nurse currently licensed in Missouri.  
•  5000 hours of work experience in the nursing field. One (1) year experience in the provision of LTC Facility services within the last five (5 Years).
•  Current AHA Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (this certification is the prerequisite) and willing to complete the AHA CPR/First Aid Instructor and Examiner course to receive certification.
•  Valid driver’s license and required insurability and willing to seek CDL license.

 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Compile student files,develop/implement lesson plans and schedule long term care and hospital/allied health clinical rotations
• Technology Skills/Computer skills that would be helpful:  Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Email; various Internet-based forms and applications; Apple/Mac and PC based forms.
• Demonstrating and providing hands on assistance with students in skills lab and during direct patient care at clinical facilities
• Physical demands include prolonged standing, frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting, frequent walking, regular lifting and transferring of residents
• Utilizing school bus/ vehicle to transport students to various clinical sites
• Personal skills needed:  good communication skills, time management, organizational skills problem solving and flexibility.
