The Monett R-1 School District is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Band and Choir Director.  The individual in this position is responsible for working in collaboration with the Middle School /High School Band Directors to assist in developing and operating the instrumental music program for grades 6-12.   Flexibility is key as this individual will also be responsible for assisting the Choir Director to develop musicians and operate the choir program in grades 7th and 8th (Middle School as well as 9th - 12th grades (High School).

Proper certification for the position is a must.  Key characteristics the successful candidate should posses are: the ability to establish a student-centered environment, ability to develop individual musicians, ability to develop small and large ensembles, and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, students, other teachers, and administrators.
